Fight or Flight

Maybe some of you like me have experienced situations where we met or made certain options in dealing with a problem. For example, personal problems may be relationships with partners, family problems, finances, work drama (in the office) or even more severe problems with the state, politics and the military. Basically the problems we face will lead us to choices to find solutions and resolutions. The severity of the problem and the available opportunities will affect the possible number of choices that can be made. However, the following two options will always be available: 1. Fight 2. Flight

First Option is Fight

It is not difficult to make an analogy of the difficulties we experience in life with the storylines of games and movies. Where we get various obstacles, thrilling scenes, sad moments and other dramas. Naturally, each of us has the instinct to take responsibility for our own problems or the problems of others. The choice of fight which can be interpreted that we face it with a brave and responsible attitude, so it is not the meaning of a real physical fight but only a metaphor as we struggle with all our energy and mind to solve the problem which is the embodiment of an attitude of responsibility. For students, for example, apart from us having to fight finish your studies, you also have a social responsibility as an agent of change because you are intellectual human candidates who should be able to see social problems more clearly than most, nothing will reduce your value if you are all fulfill the road hand on hand to voice the aspirations of truth. Reading stories of military struggles or heroes in the past, they are actually the ones who are brave fight who can finally make a new start from an ending, even though victory cannot always be achieved but bravely fight defeat will be valuable as an experience feel reality. responsibility is hard, like the first choice fight like you are carrying the land of an island or carrying a mountain on your shoulders may be too heavy but believe me every problem must have a solution.

Second Option is Flight

Flight in the context of today’s writing is analogous to an effort to avoid problems, slightly different from “avoiding problems” which is a preventive effort, avoiding responsibility is like running away from the arena of competition. Flight in the figurative sense of avoiding responsibility and along with flight in the real sense is often exemplified by corruptors who indeed run away from problems that they make themselves and actually flight fugitives somewhere, until the KPK, the police and Interpol are busy looking for them.

The choice to flight as an alternative to the fight option does not always have a negative connotation, if you flight by leaving losses to many parties without taking proper responsibility then it is tantamount to running away. But if you flight to prevent a more severe problem from arising and one day return with a solution, then this is a responsible wise action.

Please, my simple and shallow writing is not considered a provocation, let alone savage, at least as a creature who still has feelings, can think and have empathy, hopefully we are not framed to get answers to every machine-style problem, only Yes and No, abort and continue, just like code - binary code 0 and 1 only.
